Trips

If you want to visit different places in Europe with your friends then the best way to do it is to go on trips with the school. If you join a sports team then you go on sports trips. Unlike sports trips from your old high school, we go everywhere. We go to England, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and sometimes even Italy. These trips can last just a weekend or an entire week. AP English classes go to Paris to study Hemmingway. If you are in middle school you have chances to go to Wales for a week and try rock-climbing, rappelling and gorge walking. In the past students have been able to take classes to Germany, Austria and Spain.

Many of the classes you can take at SAHS culminate on trips. One of these classes is Model United Nations. MUN is a class in which students learn to debate and write resolutions. The class goes to The Hague in January for The Hague Model United Nations for a week and debates different items with thousands of other students from around the world. If you decide to take art you may be able to go to Italy for a week to study Italian Renaissance art. No matter what classes you choose to take there always seems to be a trip for you.
