To our SHAPE American High School Community:
With the start of a great school year, I would like to, in advance, thank you for your support this school year. We, the SHAPE American High School faculty, staff, administrators, and students are looking forward to a wonderful school year full of community involvement in so many of our initiatives and endeavors. This year is also an important year for our school. We are being visited for the purpose of accreditation (once every five years). You will see and hear a lot more about this process very shortly.
With the beginning of the school year come many changes for the following school year. We bid farewell to the following SHAPE American High School teachers and staff:

NEW TEACHERS AND CURRENT PROGRAMS: I am still currently interviewing prospective teachers (Spanish/French) and hope to have this very important task accomplished as soon as possible.

This year we offer eight AP courses, two new middle school art courses, additional health and PE courses, Honors 10 as a team (Ms. Harris and Ms. Johansen), Video Communication, Literature enrichment, Physiology and Anatomy, Speech, along with all the other courses we have traditionally offered.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: We currently have 497 students in grades 7th-12th.
It was an exciting time for all students as they scurried to their new classes and chat with old friends as well as meet new friends.
